The Reverend Elise Erikson Barrett, a United Methodist pastor married to a United Methodist pastor, is a
member of the South Carolina Annual Conference. Currently on family leave to care for two small
daughters, Elise is available to invest thought and time in writing and leadership for special events.

Elise is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, and has lived in South Carolina since her marriage to the
Reverend Chris Barrett in 2004. She holds degrees from Hanover College (where she studied economics,
French, and vocal performance - a natural preparation for divinity school!) and from Duke Divinity School.
